Disclaimers And Disclosures
While I, Katie Roseborough, am a licensed healthcare provider and hold a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida, I am, by no means, an expert in the field of diabetes. I am, however, the mother of a girl living with Type 1 Diabetes that I love very, very much. I want what is best for her physically and emotionally. I am also passionate about helping, educating, empowering and encouraging other moms and caregivers of Type 1 Diabetics. I created this podcast and blog to do just that.
The Sugar Mama’s Podcast is not intended to be advice, medical or otherwise. You should not base your management of diabetes on any content (audio, visual or written) found on this website (www.sugarmamaspodcast.com). You should not use the content from this website to treat yourself or others. Please consult your physician before making any changes to the way you manage your health, including diabetes.
While I take every effort to broadcast correct information, I am still learning. I will double check all my facts but realize that medicine is an ever-changing science and art. One healthcare professional may have a different way of doing things from another. I am simply presenting what I have learned and experienced as a mom caring for a type 1 diabetic child. I welcome any comments, suggestions, or corrections of errors. By listening to this podcast or reading this blog you agree not to use either as medical advice to treat any medical condition either in yourself or others, including but not limited to patients that you are treating. Consult your own physician for any medical issues that you may be having.
This entire disclaimer also applies to any guests or contributors to the podcast or blog. Under no circumstances shall Katie Roseborough, any guests or contributors to the podcast or blog be responsible for damages arising from use of this podcast or blog.
ADDITIONAL LEGAL DISCLAIMER
This podcast or blog or any content found on this website should not be used in any legal capacity whatsoever, including but not limited to establishing “standard of care” in a legal sense or as a basis for expert witness testimony. No guarantee is given regarding the accuracy of any statements or opinions made on the podcast or blog.
The podcast and blog are my own opinions and do not represent the views or opinions of any other healthcare professional or healthcare entity/company/practice.
GUEST CONSENT DISCLAIMER
All guests that come on the podcast or contribute to the blog must sign a guest release form that clearly states they are aware they are being recorded and that recording is being published as a podcast episode. By signing the form, guests consent to being on the show.
ADS, AFFILIATES AND SPONSORSHIPS DISCLAIMER
While producing a podcast, running a blog and managing a website is very fun and rewarding, it takes a considerable amount of time an energy. Thus, The Sugar Mama’s Podcast is supported by ad revenue and affiliate links as well as through sponsorships, partnerships and collaborations with other companies/businesses. These things will always be clearly announced or designated on the podcast, in the show notes, on social media or in the blog. You will always know when I am being paid to say, post or write something found in a podcast episode, in the show notes, on social media or written in a blog post.
I AM AN AFFILIATE
I am an Amazon Affiliate as well as an affiliate with a few other brands. When a visitor to the website clicks on an affiliate link and proceeds to make a purchase, I receive a small commission at absolutely no cost to you! Plus, it helps support the podcast so THANK YOU! It’s a win-win!
Some of the Podcast episodes include a transcription. These transcriptions are created by an automated, electronic service that is based off of an uploaded audio recording. Although the transcription is largely accurate, in some instances it is not correct or is incomplete due to inaudible portions of the recording or due to computer-based transcription errors. The transcriptions should never be treated as an authoritative document or record. Again, nothing that you hear or read on this website, in the show notes or in a blog post should be considered medical advice or advice in any way, shape or form. Always consult your physician before making any changes to the way you manage your or someone else’s health.
